Patient's Query

Hello doctor, I constantly have had thick white discharge and smell from my vagina for the past three years. I have undergone tests for bacterial vaginosis, vaginal thrush, and sexually transmitted diseases, which came out negative. What else can be the reason behind the foul smell coming from the vagina?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I fully understand your concern and will surely help you. I need to see the reports of various tests you have undergone for assessment, so I request you to share the test reports. Although the tests are negative, the problem might persist. I suggest you keep the area dry and use a good feminine wash to clean the area. Wear loose cotton undergarments and use barrier contraceptive methods like condoms when you are sexually active. Avoid intense workouts and I suggest you apply Surfaz-SN cream (Beclometasone 0.025 % weight by weight, Neomycin 0.5 % weight by weight, and Clotrimazole 1 % weight by weight) topically. Maintain excellent genital hygiene. Do not worry as I am always there for you. Please share the details as requested for a better assessment of your condition
