Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 20 years old female. For the past four days, I have been experiencing itching in my private part. The discharge was a little reddish, but that may be because my period had ended two to three before this. But the discharge had a weird smell to it. I thought it was a urine infection and took Dimuro syrup and Levocetirizine for it. The itching has reduced a little, but I noticed a weird-smelling yellow discharge today. I am tensed, and the itching feels very uncomfortable. What shall I do?

This is the first time I am experiencing it, and the itching is more at night.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thanks for trusting us with your health care. I have gone through your history and understand the concern. Your symptoms are suggestive of vaginitis, and it is mainly due to a fungal infection.

I suggest the following,

  • Keep the area dry and clean.
  • Drink a lot of warm water with a soft diet
  • Use antifungal medicine and cream for local application.

I hope you found the answer helpful. Feel free to ask for more information.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
