Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My newborn child was detected with heart-related issues. Could you please help me understand the severity? Please suggest further treatment.

Answered by Dr. Isaac Gana

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Sorry to hear about your child's heart condition. Congenital heart disease is quite common amongst many children. To be able to tell you the severity, you should mention what is the exact condition that the doctor told is wrong with your child. So, I can tell you what is the best management possible. Take care.

Patient's Query

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have seen the attached report (attachment removed to protect patient identity). Your child has a ventricular septal defect of small to medium size. This is a hole in the bottom part of the heart. I usually do no give any medications to children at an early age. Surgery is at a later time in life in the presence of symptoms. There is no need to worry. Best regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
