Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

About three months ago, suddenly I started getting dizziness and vertigo. So I consulted the doctor and I did an MRI and X-ray. In the MRI I was diagnosed with thrombosis but the neuro physician told me that the blockages are open and thrombosis is not the reason for vertigo but from stress or an inner ear problem, so I consulted with an ENT he told me that this is not an ear problem, then the doctor prescribed me medicine of antidepressants like tablet Flupentixol, Etizolam beta, Aspirin. But now, I have been taking these from three months but no symptoms changed. I suddenly started having vertigo or dizziness daily. First of all, I think this is a cervical problem but I asked the neurologist and he said it is not.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for taking help from a psychiatrist. I can understand your situation and your concern. If all your reports are normal then you may have anxiety. Tablet Flupentixole is not an antidepressant. You should take tablet Escitalopram 10 mg daily in the morning and tablet Clonazepam 0.5 mg. It will help you.

,

  1. You should do exercises daily for 30 to 45 minutes like at least going for a walk.
  2. You should do meditation for 20 minutes daily, just sit in one place in a comfortable position and try to concentrate on your normal breathing, do not stop or force yourself to stop your thoughts, just let it be.
  3. You should eat healthy home-cooked foods, and avoid junk foods.
  4. You must drink enough water.
  5. You should spend quality time with friends and family daily or do video calls if you are leaving away.
  6. You should spend time on creative hobbies like reading good books, writing journals, painting, drawing, and learning new skills or language or musical instruments.
  7. You should take enough seven to eight hours of sleep daily.
  8. You must avoid tobacco or alcohol or any substance abuse.

Live your life, do not just spend it. Be bold and confident.

I hope that you get your answer. Please, let me know if you want some help.

Thank you.

Investigations to be done

The investigations include CBC (complete blood count), RBS (random blood sugar), thyroid profile, vitamin B12 and vitamin D3.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
