Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 26 years old. I have had vision problems since childhood, and my eye vision is not stable; day by day, it is increasing. During my childhood, my eye power was -4 D. Now, my eye power is -8 D. I also have a problem with reading and using laptops. Am I eligible to get a low-vision certificate? Please guide me. Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Vision should get stabilized by this age. You have pathological myopia. Have you ever got any corneal topography or fundus examination done? What is your corrected and uncorrected vision? For a low vision certificate, the vision problem should not get corrected even with spectacles or any other measure, and there should be no chance of improvement. And every institute has its criteria for eligibility. So go to their site for whatever you want to apply for and get it confirmed from there itself. I hope I was helpful to you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
