Hi doctor, On certain surfaces like light or plain background and dark surface I see some flying corpuscles in my vision. My eye check-up is normal including retina check. Doctors said because of this isolated symptom one cannot suspect any nerve problem. When I wake up at night, these flying corpuscles or tiny stuff in my vision bothers me. I have this right from my childhood and I am 32 now. Should I be worried for this?

This symptom is very common in many normal individuals. It is said to be due to altered blood supply to eye in cases like anemia. Many people get tiny flashes moving around after they get up from sleep. You need not be bothered unless there is decreased vision. You can take vitamin A supplements. Thank you for your reply.
These are mostly visible on dark surface like in darkness. It is never a complete black for me. There will always be some visual stuff when I am seeing in dark. It cannot be night blindness since I can see objects. It is just like a layer of tiny dots in dark.

As I said it is not pathological. In some people spontaneous retinal stimulation in dark can give this sensation. It is harmless. So, no need for worry or treatment unless there is alteration in vision. I hope this answer helped you.
