Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have head rush for a moment and it becomes fine after a second. I checked my blood pressure and it was 130/70 mm Hg. My TSH was high with a value of 10.6 mIU/L. It seems to be a second imbalance. I took Petril for eight days. I was diagnosed with anxiety and stress disorder. When I take anti-anxiety tablets, it becomes fine. I can run and exercise well. Sometimes I do not feel anything. Is it due to anxiety or blood pressure?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The second imbalance occurs due to vitamin D deficiency and it occurs mostly in people who stay and work indoors. Petril (Clonazepam) can give you relief as it reduces neurotransmitters. This problem is not related to blood pressure and anxiety. It is caused due to vitamin D deficiency and causes postural imbalance. You can take tablet Micro D3 60000 units (vitamin D3) once a week for eight weeks. You can take tablet Petril when you have the symptoms. Please mention your correct weight.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have a weight of 70 kilograms.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Having a weight of 70 kilograms is good. Please mention whether you take any medicines for thyroid problems. You have a high TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) level of 10.6 mIU/L. Please repeat TSH after two months again.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I am taking medicines for thyroid problems. Having a weight of 70 kilograms is considered overweight when compared with my height. Can TSH medicine cause these things? My vitamin D and vitamin B 12 is low. I do not know the reason whether low vitamin B 12 cause these problems.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Low vitamin B12 and vitamin D can cause postural giddiness and imbalance. Thyroid problems can result in weight gain when T3 (triiodothyronine) and T4 (thyroxine) is low and TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) is high. Please mention the duration of taking Thyroxin.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I took Thyronorm 25 mg and took 50 mg for few days. The doctor told me to reduce the dose and I have the symptoms now. When I sleep well, it gets fine but I have recurrences. I get panic and scared. Headrushes got reduced but still, it is there. But I do not faint or fall. What to do?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

If you are a confirmed case of hypothyroidism, then you should try to increase TSH between 5 to 10 mIU/L. It is good to hear that you do not have fainting. You need to repeat TSH after two months. Once you take vitamin D and B 12, then everything will become fine.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
