Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have vitamin D deficiency. The test report says that the count is 0.0002 mg/dL. I had an oil massage last week. Now I have joint pain, tiredness and I get depressed very soon. Is it related to the body massage? Is there any cure for it in Ayurveda? Currenly I am taking DRise (60000) tablets.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

According to your attached reports (attachment removed to protect patient identity), your BMI (Body Mass Index) is 27. This suggests that your weight is more than normal. You need to reduce your weight. Obesity also leads to low level of vitamin D in blood and increases joint pain.

You have mentioned that you have undergone body massage. Did you feel any change in pain after oil massage? Has the pain increased or decreased? What is your profession? Are you awake overnight? Do you have any other health issues like hair fall or menstrual problems? How is your digestion and bowel movements? Do you involve in any exercise?

As of now, you can start with Bonton granules (Shatavari, Ashwagandha, Arjuna) 1 teaspoon with milk twice a day and tablet Asthiposhak (Kukkutandatvak bhasma, Asthisamhruta, Arjuna, Shuddha laksha) 2 tablets after food twice a day. Continue with your current medication.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply

After an oil massage for 2 to 3 days, I feel fresh but later I start getting aches and pains gradually. I am a software engineer and I work 10 hours a day. I sleep late around 11.30 PM and wake by 6.30 AM. I am not much interested in physical activities. I have got heavy hair fall and dandruff too. My digestion is good.

What are these supplements taken for? Does this have any side effects? Please do prescribe any oil for dandruff and hair fall.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You need to have sufficient sleep of 7 to 8 hours per day. Sleeping is one of the main stress busters. It will help with your pain as well as hair fall. If you feel better after a body massage, it is advisable for you to undergo an oil massage once in a while. At home, you apply Lakshadi taila (Ashwagandha, Turmeric, Pippali, Sesame Oil) wherever you feel pain or you can apply it throughout the body also just 10 minutes before bath daily. For dandruff, you can do a hair pack with fenugreek once a week and apply coconut oil 1 hour before hair wash. Those are the supplements for strong bones and hair. They do not have any side effects.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
