Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 23 years old. I am having pink spots and patches on the inner part of groin. I had intercourse few times but it was protected. I also have psoriasis and vitiligo on the groin. Kindly suggest some medicine.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I will need specific details so that I can help you better. Have you been diagnosed by a doctor because groin psoriasis is not very common? Are you taking any treatment for the same? Do you have any other medical conditions? The pink patches can be pigmentation in a vitiligo or a new psoriasis patch developing. It mostly may not be intercourse related. It will be better if you send clear photographs of the area. Without details and photographs, it is not possible to come to a diagnosis. Do not self-medicate. It will only make the situation worse. Take care.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you. I have been to a few dermatologists. Some say that it is psoriasis; some say that it is a fungal infection. However, I have a pink patch on the outer layer, which was mentioned as vitiligo, and at the scrotum, a black layer is formed, which is very itchy and it bleeds if I scratch a bit. And there are some red spots (I have attached the photographs) on the inside of the penis. Kindly suggest some medication. Right now, I am not taking any treatment for the same.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

From the attached photo (attachment removed to protect patient identity), the patch on your penis looks like vitiligo, but the scrotum lesion is not very clear in the photos. I think it will be best if you visit a dermatologist in-person. Without examination, it is very difficult to come to any conclusion. If you like, I will definitely refer you to a good dermatologist. Take care.
