Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 34-years-old female with a weight of 147.71 Ibs and a height of 5'1". I am currently suffering from candidiasis. I have a high blood sugar of 140.18 mg/dL. I have sharp pain, irritation, itching, and swelling in my genitals and have difficulty urinating. Also, have a frequent thirst and frequent urination.

Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand you have vulvovaginal candidiasis and high fasting blood sugar with symptoms of diabetes mellitus.

I hope you had the genital discomfort examined by a physician and then confirmed it to be candidiasis, especially if it is your first episode of the discomfort. You have not mentioned the medicines you are taking for the candidiasis.

Your fasting blood sugar is elevated to 140.18 mg/dL, but it should be below 100 mg/dL. Your Body mass index is 29, and that puts you in the overweight category. I suggest you repeat a fasting blood sugar, post prandial blood sugar, and HbA1C (hemoglobin A1c) to confirm diabetes mellitus.

Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
