Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 44 years old. My right eye seems a little more watery than my left eye. It is not running down my cheek, but does feel a bit more watery. I just feel this for a couple of weeks. I have not had any swelling or pain in my eye. Also, there is no discharge from my eye. My vision is normal. Could right eye a bit more sensitive than the left?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Yes, as you said, it might be a little more sensitive. There is mild wetting of your right eye without any other symptom. So, do not worry. I hope I have addressed your concerns. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

Is it common to have one eye more watery than the other?

Answered by Dr. Vaibhev Mittal

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, it is common to have one eye more sensitive than the other. Having said that I would recommend you to get a proper eye checkup done as sometimes a small foreign body in the eye may cause wetting of eye without causing any irritation. If you have already consulted your ophthalmologist, then you need not worry.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I am due for my eye test this year to my opticians.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Ask your ophthalmologist to examine your cornea and upper palpebral conjunctiva to rule out any intraocular foreign body. If there is no foreign body, then just relax.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
