Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been weighing my portion sizes and eating at the right time for almost two months and have lost 8 kg. However, despite the weighing machine telling a different story, I do not feel too much of a change in my outer appearance. Why do you think that is?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Since you see yourself every day, you may not be able to notice the changes that happen. However, I am sure other people will notice the changes. For example, if you have lost 8 kg, your appearance will certainly change. Using a measuring tape, the best way to ascertain this is to take circumferential measurements at various points on your body, like the chest, abdomen, hips, thighs, and arms. Then, measure yourself once in 2 weeks and maintain a chart. You will definitely see the difference. You can also see the difference in how your clothes fit.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
