Hi doctor,
My previous period cycle was in the beginning of November. After that, I had intercourse mid November with someone who had a vasectomy, and he ejaculated in me. Later, I had intercourse towards the end of November with someone without a vasectomy, and he pulled out before ejaculating. I am currently five weeks and four days pregnant. What could have possibly been the date of conception?
Hello ma'am,
Good morning,
I completely understand your concern, and I will surely help you. Vasectomy is a highly reliable pregnancy control method; for men, it is 99 % successful. Further, some failures are generally in the first year but also very few, like one or two in 1000 people. Your ovulation period must have been in the middle of November since you had a period in the first week of November, so had not been there vasectomy, it would have been complex to judge. Now, as far as the pull-out method is concerned, it is not a reliable method of birth control, especially when the female is ovulating. If you have got any scan done or when you get a scan done, you will get to know better the duration of pregnancy but in my opinion, most likely conceived from the pull-out method intercourse. Implantation must have been around the end of November. You can ask the person who has undergone vasectomy to get a semen check done on his discharge or ejaculate, which will further clarify the doubt if possible.
Feel free to ask any questions or to share any additional information.
Regards.
One more question: I got a transvaginal ultrasound, and it said I have flow in both ovaries and a follicle in the left ovary. What does that mean, and is it concerning?
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I have gone through the ultrasound scan images shared by you. I am pleased to inform you that the report is good and nothing to worry about. It is a healthy pregnancy. No need for you to worry. Just follow your routine and take care of yourself as one should take during the initial trimester of pregnancy.
Regards.
