Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My partner and I had some fun. There was no sexual intercourse but just fingering. When I did that I think I had pre cum on my fingers. She was anxious because of that and took i-pill on fourth day afternoon. After that she started getting a lot of white discharge. Is there any chance of pregnancy?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I fully understand your concern and will surely help you. For getting pregnant, the sperms have to be ejaculated inside the vagina of the female. Those sperms then need to fertilize an egg (availability of egg, subject to ovulation). The fertilized egg then needs to get implanted in the uterus to make the female pregnant finally. So it is not so easy to get pregnant. In your case, since the ejaculation was not directly inside the vagina, it is not easy to get pregnant. The sperms do not survive for more than a few minutes (maximum 5 mins) in open space, so the precum, even if it had sperms and it was more than a few minutes on your finger, there is less likelihood for sperms to survive and make pregnant.

As LMP was before 20 days, it is less likely to have the egg available in your case and, hence, less chance of pregnancy. Do not worry as pregnancy is very less likely. Also, you took i-pill (although after four days but still ), so further reduction in pregnancy chances. I-pill is a hormone-based pill, and it has certain known side effects like discharge, delay in periods, etc. Please let me know after how many days of taking i-pill was the discharge problem. She will not be pregnant in the situation explained by you. However, to rest your anxiety to peace carry out a urine pregnancy test with the first urine of the day for accurate result. Too much of fluid must not be taken prior to the test. Adhere to all guidelines written on the package of the pregnancy test kit.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Due to high dose of hormone, thick white discharge can be there. Nothing could be done.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
