Hello doctor,
I am 28 years old, and suddenly, I feel my teeth got malaligned, and it hurts when I chew. Also, the way I speak has changed since then. What could be the cause of this? Kindly help.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
The most common cause for your sudden feeling of change of alignment and pain is the eruption of the wisdom tooth or teeth. It could be the wisdom tooth, especially in the lower jaw, which tries to erupt and push the neighboring teeth to give you that sort of feel. Since you have mentioned that you also have pain, checking for tooth decay and gum swelling is mandatory. The tooth decay or gum swelling could be associated with that particular tooth which further hurts while you chew. I suggest you take an over-the-counter painkiller thrice daily for three days for pain relief. I suggest consulting a nearby dentist to get examined.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
