Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had a wisdom tooth that was irritating me while having food and have not consulted any doctor yet. Can you suggest some medicines for the same? What could be the reason for it? Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and unerstand the concern.

A wisdom tooth erupts at the age of 18 to 21 years. However, if there is inadequate space or the tooth is malaligned, it will be difficult for the tooth to erupt. So, if your tooth partially erupts and there is food lodgement between tooth and gum, it can cause pericoronitis, or if it is pressing the adjacent nerves and tooth, it can cause other complications.

I would suggest an X-ray so that we can confirm the treatment plan, and I would suggest a video consultation so that I can guide you on how to keep that area clean to avoid infection and pain.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
