Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had my wisdom teeth taken out four days ago. I do not see any sign of healing. I am worried about getting an infection or food getting stuck in the wounds.

How long does it usually take for them to heal?

Should I be concerned and go to the emergency room or get in contact with the dentist who completed the surgery?

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I had gone through your question and I can understand your concern.

There is nothing to worry about, it takes about one week at least for primary healing, and after that, there will be no lodging of food or further chances of infection. If you have any doubts upload a picture of your healing wound, and I can confirm with you. If there are any chances of infection or dry socket. Also, let me know if there is any pain or burning sensation.

Thank you.
