Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I went to my dentist yesterday to get an X-ray to see if I need my wisdom teeth removed. I need to get my three teeth removed, two on top and one on the bottom that is turned almost 180 degrees, so he said it would be a little complicated to remove, but he can do it. He gave me the option to remove them himself while I was orally sedated or refer me to an oral surgeon. I spoke with my friend, a dental hygienist, and she said if she was me, she would go to an oral surgeon. I was wondering what you would recommend. I have a picture of the X-ray if needed. I know the oral surgeon will cost more, but I want to do what is in my best interest health-wise. Any advice?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com

I thoroughly read your query and understand your concern.

By looking at your X-ray, even I would suggest you get it removed by an oral surgeon, as he would be able to plan the procedure better. The tooth is located quite close to a nerve, so it will be better for you to get it extracted by an expert. So do not worry and get your treatment done.

Hope this helps you.

Regards.
