Common "Wisdom Tooth Extraction" queries answered by top doctors | iCliniq

Wisdom Tooth Extraction

In cases where the wisdom tooth does not erupt in the correct position or only erupt partially or do not erupt at all, it requires extraction. As the four wisdom teeth are the last teeth to erupt in the mouth, they are often misplaced. If they are partially or totally embedded inside the jaws (impacted), then the surrounding bone has to be removed to extract the teeth, which is called impaction.
