Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am going to have a root canal treatment. But the back of my gums is in pain, and I am not sure if my wisdom teeth are coming in. My jaw has been hurting for a while, along with my toothaches and it became very uncomfortable to eat. When I close my mouth, I can feel the back of my gums swollen.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

1. Your jaw pain is definitely because of the swollen gums and the erupting wisdom tooth.

2. I can assure you of this by considering your age.

3. The treatment for this is ideally to picture an X-ray of that wisdom tooth to see its position of it.

4. For now, please get that area deep cleaned with warm saline water on the day of your root canal treatment itself.

5. The definite treatment for the wisdom tooth is not necessary as we can wait for it to erupt.

6. Tablet Ibuprofen 400 mg is a good pain killer, and it will help you through the relief of pain.

Thanks and Regards
