Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Three months back, I had unprotected sex a few days before ovulation. I took Plan B within 24 hours but got my period six days later. It lasted for seven days. In the next month, my period was delayed by eleven days. Is it because of Plan B?

Answered by Dr. Reetika

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Plan B is a hormone-based pill that delays periods in some females. You experienced bleeding five days after withdrawal of the dose. If you have taken the dose in the first half of your period cycle, you should calculate your next date from the withdrawal bleeding day. Provide details about your last two menstrual cycles. You will be fine soon.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
