Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

How would I know if I have a yeast infection?

Is it something else?

I have a clumpy discharge, and it is very itchy. It used to be more swollen than it is now, and the clumpy discharge has reduced, but I recently had a very white but slight tint of yellow in my discharge.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I would request you to answer the following:

How much discharge are you having?

What are the quantity and frequency?

Based on the image shared (attachment removed to protect patient's identity), it appears to be a yeast infection, and for relief, I would recommend:

  1. Keep the area dry.
  2. Use a gentle feminine wash to clean the area.
  3. Apply cream to the surface.
  4. Wear loose cotton underwear.
  5. Avoid intense exercise.
  6. Use barrier contraception like a condom if sexually active.

Do not worry; feel free to ask questions or share any additional information.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
