Hello doctor,

I am a 22-year-old female. I was suffering from excessive white watery discharge and itching for the last 15 days. From the last three to four days, discharge and itching is reduced but my discharge is a little yellow in color. Also, I tried to have sexual intercourse a few days back, it was very painful and difficult. Now when I examined myself, there is puffiness in the vaginal walls. I am also having trouble urinating. I have to force out the urine each time I pee. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

You might be suffering from a vaginal infection. As the urethra and vagina are situated nearby, this infection can spread to the urinary tract also. To avoid such infections, keep the genitals clean and dry, and change the undergarments twice daily.

The infection causes some swelling and redness which is why you were suffering from pain while having intercourse.

I suggest you should start the following medicines.

1. Tablet Doxy 100 mg (Doxycycline) two times after meal.

2. Tablet Metro 400 mg (Metronidazole) three times after meal.

3. Tablet Pan 40 mg (Pantoprazole) two times before meal.

4. Clingen vaginal pessary (keep this in the vagina while sleeping).

All these medications are to be taken for five days. However, please consult a physician, discuss with them, and start taking the medications with their consent.

Also, go for a urine routine microscopy test to know whether there is a urinary infection or not.

Let me know about the reports.

Hope this helps.

Thanks and take care.
