What could be the reason for discrepancies in HIV test results?

Hello doctor,

A few months ago, I got a small cut while shaving outside, and though initially worried due to a crowded shop, I later tested negative for HIV using ELISA and CLIA after two months. However, an internet search prompted me to take an RNA PCR test, which surprisingly showed a positive result. Concerned, I contacted the diagnostic center, and subsequent tests (rapid CLIA, Elisa, and RNA PCR) returned negative. The center explained that initial false positives can occur and assured me there was no error during blood collection. Despite this reassurance, I still felt anxious, so I retested with Elisa after two weeks, and the results were negative. Please help.

Thank you.

What could cause bleeding after taking an I-pill?

Hello doctor,

I had intercourse after 15 days of my period and the condom tore and he finished inside me. I took an I-pill (plan B) after an hour. A few hours later I started bleeding with white discharge and it was hurting a lot (probably because it was my first time). I panicked and the next day I took an unwanted 72, again I started bleeding on that day too. After five days I noticed a weird kind of discharge (unusual), it was transparent and thick, and it persisted for a few days. After a few days, one night it was cramping badly. I thought it was my period as it seemed like I was bleeding but as it began I started to notice it was thin and brown. As time passed the cramps became much less, the flow decreased a lot and two days later it stopped. As far as I observed I think it was implantation bleeding. From the next day, there was very little bleeding like a few drops per day. Now, I feel like vomiting and frustrated or agitated. I am panicking thinking I might be pregnant. I am only 20 and my parents are strict. I do not know what to do. Right now I am thinking about abortion pills as it is not too late. Kindly suggest.

What causes swollen lymph nodes, stuffy nose, and swollen tonsils?

Hi doctor,

About 17 days ago, I discovered a slightly swollen lymph node on my neck right above one of my glands and below my ear (left side). If it were not for me randomly picking at my neck, I would not haveknown about it because it is not visible. It does not feel extremely big. I can just tell it is swollen because the right side of my neck does not have that slight swelling. I have been slightly sick for the past few weeks, but not seriously. My tonsils are swollen, especially my left one (same side with the swollen lymph node), though my throat is not extremely sore. I have been having a significant amount of mucus, my nose has been stuffy, and I have been clearing my throat non-stop. My head hurts a bit now and then, and my left ear has a weird popping or stuffy-like sensation. I want to know what this means. I do not know if this helps, but I possibly have a TMJ problem, but I do not know how that would affect this.

Please help.
