How to differentiate gastroenteritis from pregnancy related symptoms?

Hi doctor,

I was diagnosed with gastroenteritis last year. I have an active sex life and use ECP (emergency contraception pills). Recently, my partner and I tried to use a condom when my calendar indicated that I had a medium chance of getting pregnant. We used a condom, and I took an emergency contraception pill using the Yuzpe method. However, my stomach hurts every now and then, and I took a pregnancy test, which came out negative. Just now, I took an antacid tablet because of my stomach pain, and I vomited, burped, and passed gas. Could these symptoms be a sign of pregnancy, or am I just too acidic?

Thank you.

What is the treatment for recurrent oral ulcers?

Hello doctor,

I have a recurrent history of tongue sores, typically on the tip and inside my cheeks, palate, gums, or lips. This issue may be attributed to my history of gastrointestinal disorders and acid reflux. However, this time, the sores on the right side of my tongue are not healing as they have in the past. They persist, causing increased discomfort and pain in the tongue beneath the right jaw and a mild sore throat during sleep. Additionally, I have been experiencing recurring breathing difficulties at night. My lips and gums are also sensitive, itchy, and inflamed. Also, I previously suffered from consistent pain, nighttime drooling of saliva, a large sore, and patches on and extending toward the side of the tongue, progressing toward the throat.

Till now, I have not used any over-the-counter (OTC) medications, relying instead on home remedies such as saltwater rinses and mouth gargles. Given the persistent nature of my current symptoms, OTC medicines may be necessary this time. Please help.

Thank you.

What can cause a slight increased heart rate on ECG?

Hello,

In the last 12 months, I have undergone several ECGs at rest, and there seems to be some discrepancy among cardiologists regarding the interpretation. Do you notice any anomalies? Could a diagnosis of low voltage be possible? My ECHO, stress ECG, and Holter 24 hours results have all been normal. Kindly help.
