What causes a feeling of burning sensation in the anus after urination?

a) Streamline diet and lifestyle - Focus on a balanced Mediterranean diet preferably, with adequate intake of water and roughage. Take at least eight to ten glasses of water daily. Exercise (walking being the safest) in clean or open air for at least 30 to 45 minutes daily.

b) Restrict flesh foods like chicken, eggs, etc. as these are likely to worsen constipation and consequently complicate fissures or piles issues, if any, still.

c) High-calorie foodstuffs including sweets, cakes, pastries, greasy, oily, hot or spicy, and fast foods are best avoided too. Red meat, if any, is to be avoided completely.

d) Take freshly prepared buttermilk, to which half a teaspoon of fresh turmeric powder is added and mixed thoroughly, daily at bedtime.

e) Pilex ointment - to be applied topically at the anal area both before or after motion, one to two times daily as required.
