icliniq.com may display ads from third-party websites to both the doctors and the patients on the site in the future. We intend to display ads relevant to the services we provide on the site.

As a website, we are dedicated to following fair usage policy even when it comes to the ads published on our website. All the ads published on our website have to follow the necessary laws and proper industrial standards. When it comes to healthcare, specific content cannot be advertised in any way, while other content can be advertised with the right authorization for us and can be targeted to countries that approve them. Location-based regulations are strictly followed while we publish ads on the site.

a) For Pharmaceuticals:
iCliniq allows the posting of ads for pharmaceutical products that are authorized to be sold in retail. We publish ads for pharmaceuticals that are approved in the following countries:
  • India
  • United States
  • United Kingdom
  • Philippines
  • Canada
In the case of prescription drugs, ads can be posted only in Canada and United States. Over the counter medication can be promoted in Canada, India, United Kingdom, and United States. In the United States and Canada, ads can be published for bulk drug compound, peptide and antibody suppliers.

Any pharmaceutical company that would like to publish ads on our site need to have the proper certification required to sell the drugs in retail and online. We do not allow the publication of ads for any kind of unauthorized compounds or drugs that should not be sold on the market.

Promotion of online pharmacies are restricted to countries that include Canada, United Kingdom and, United States.

Ads with prescription drug terms can only be targeted towards the audience for Canada and United States. This applies to the content that will be promoted on the text of the ads and also the landing page. In certain cases, an exception might be provided in case the local laws of any specific country have made specific mandates towards allowing these ads.

Ads published on the site go through several steps of authorization and will be constantly monitored for any violation of policy.

b) Clinical Trials:
We do not allow ads that are posted in the intention of recruitment for clinical trials. Canada, Philippines, United Kingdom, and United States can be considered exceptions in case the local legislation have approved the specific product.

Such ads in any way should not mislead and give a perspective to the user that the drugs which are used have been tested and approved to be safe.

c) Birth Control:
Ads related to birth control or fertility are not allowed in countries other than India, United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Philippines.

d) Abortion:
Ads relating to abortion cannot be targeted to the audience in countries other than the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada.

e) Unapproved Substances:
In whatsoever case, no ads will be published for any of unapproved substances prohibited by law in any country. This includes:
  • Products that have ephedra in them.
  • In the case of the drugs related to weight gain or weight loss, the products should not have human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in conjunction with anabolic steroids.
  • Any form of dietary or herbal supplements that have unauthorized ingredients or dangerous pharmaceuticals.
  • Making false and misleading claims that their effects are similar to unauthorized substances or prescription drugs.
  • Products that are not approved by the government but are in such a way to look like products that are approved by the government.
  • The products that have names similar to any prescription drugs, which would confuse the user.
DHEA products are not to be marketed anywhere outside the United States.

Melatonin products are not to be marketed anywhere outside the United States and Canada.

Ads relating to products for speculative and experimental medical treatment is prohibited. This includes gene therapy, stem cell therapy, and cellular therapy. Similarly, biohacking, regenerative medicine, platelet-rich plasma, kits for gene therapy and do-it-yourself genetic engineering products are also not allowed.

f) HIV home testing kits:
Ads regarding HIV home tests can only be targeted towards the audience from the United States and United Kingdom. You will need to be clearly certified as an advertiser who either provides the service or does not provide it.

Also, there are specific restrictions targeted toward specific countries.

a) India:
Ads from pharmaceutical manufacturers are allowed with specific limitations. Ads for over-the-counter medication will be allowed in accordance with the local laws that govern the sale of drugs.

b) United Kingdom:
Ads for prescription drugs can be posted if the drugs mentioned in the content of the ads and the landing page are the same.
Online pharmacies can be promoted if they are registered with GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council) and have proper approval from MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency).

c) Philippines:
No ads posted under the intention of clinical trials can be targeted towards the audience in the Philippines.

d) Canada:
Ads from pharmaceutical manufacturers are allowed if the organization has:
  • An Internet pharmacy certification from LegitScript Healthcare Merchant Certification and Monitoring Program.
  • Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites certification from NABP (National Association of Boards of Pharmacy).
  • A pharmacy Verified Websites Program certified by NABP (National Association of Boards of Pharmacy).

e) United States:
Ads from pharmaceutical manufacturers are allowed if the organization has:
  • An Internet pharmacy certification from LegitScript Healthcare Merchant Certification and Monitoring Program.
  • Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites certification from NABP (National Association of Boards of Pharmacy).
  • A pharmacy Verified Websites Program certified by NABP (National Association of Boards of Pharmacy).
To post ads regarding alcohol addiction services and recovery-oriented drugs, a special certification is required from the LegitScript Certification program.

We do not share any specific information you provide on the site to these third-party websites without your consent. iCliniq's privacy policy does not cover the usage once you are redirected to any such third party website, once you click on the ad displayed. We strictly advise you to go through the privacy policy of the third party website before you start providing any sort of information on their site.
