6. Guest Service Receptionist

Candidates with proven strength in exercising attention to details is highly sought for this position. A successful candidate must have strong organizational, interpersonal and written skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere as a member of a highly interactive team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- To greet arriving visitors and direct flow throughout the Center. Answer telephone calls and responds to a large number of e-mail inquiries.
- To initiate the medical summary review process for patients interested in receiving services at MSKCC: including, providing high level guidance and logistics, creating the Medical Record Number for the patient, and once prepared forwarding the case to the International Care Advisor.
- To efficiently handle Triage calls and take complete and accurate messages. Document notes in MSK systems as needed. Distribute incoming pathology material and outside mail. Returns pathology and radiology materials back to the patient after the patients completes their visit.
- To take up additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: greeting and logging in visitors, advising Guest Services staff of arrivals, directing visitors throughout the Center, circulating throughout the visitor lounge to monitor visitor flow, ensure visitors are comfortable and the lobby area is kept tidy, monitor deliveries and pick-ups both to and from the International Center and accept visitor mail/deliveries/messages.
- To prepare weekly report of service requests volume received via email and their allocations.
