Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

For the last six months, I have significantly less blood flow during menstruation. Two weeks before the period, my body feels heavy, and I get angry and depressed. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The feeling of anger and depression before the menstrual bleeding is known as premenstrual syndrome. This is because of the reduction in hormones just before each menstrual bleeding. The less blood flow may be due to anemia or thin endometrium. You may take the following, black gram pudding (ulunthu kazhi) - Prepare it and eat once a day (in the morning). This is from the fourth day of bleeding to 14 days of each cycle. Fenugreek pudding (venthaya kazhi) - Prepare it and eat once a day (in the morning). This is from the 15th day to 28th day of each cycle (15th day onwards after the first day of bleeding to the next bleeding day). During the bleeding days (first to the third day) - Eat sesame sweet (ellu mittai) and horse gram soup. Consume these only during the first three days of bleeding. To improve the hemoglobin level - Eat palm dates, pomegranate, dry grapes daily. Tablet Aloes Compound - Two tablets thrice daily. Take this drug for the next three months. After that, skip this during the first three bleeding days.

Thank you.
