Dr.Dina Guzman finished her BS Pre-Medical Course at the University of Santo Tomas. She studied Medicine at the same University and completed her Medical Post-Graduate Internship at the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH). She passed the Medical Board Licensure Examination (Oct. 31, 1973). She has worked in government hospitals for 35 years as a General Practitioner in a rural Emergency Hospital to Medical Specialist III in a tertiary Teaching and Training Medical Center (MS Anesthesia/MS III Chief Training Officer and OIC Chief of Clinics); handled hospital programs on: HIV/AIDS; Family Planning lecturer and member Surgical Team; Counselling (to Staff, Trainees, and patients). Alternative/Complementary Medicine; provided assistance in Medical Missions like “Operation Smile” conducted in the Hospital; and Public Health Radio Communications Out-reach programs (DWPE: Health is Wealth). She also earned her Master in Public Health (MPH) at UP-College of Public health (UP-CPH) as a SEAMEO (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization) scholar. Utmost to my satisfaction, she has earned Career Executive Service Eligibilities (CSEE/by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) and CESE/by the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP).
