Is a root canal the only treatment option for a decayed and painful tooth?

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. I read your query and understand your concern. A root canal is the only option for a decayed tooth with pain unless it is fully damaged. Medication without treatment is temporary relief from pain. Again it starts hurting after a few hours or days.

What will happen if root canal treatment is delayed?

Hello,Welcome to icliniq.com.According to your history, there may be an infection or secondary caries beneath the old filling. A small bubble on the gums means there is an underlying infection beneath the tooth called a periapical abscess. This can be ruled out with investigations.I suggest you get an X-ray (IOPA) done for those teeth.
