Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am having horrible lower back pain. It is hard to sleep, sit up straight, and bend over. If I try to bend over, there is a shooting pain sent up my back. Looking at the diagrams of the spine, I see that it is at the bottom of the lumbar spine and all throughout the sacral vertebrae. I am looking for causes and possible fixes for this.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your concern. In my opinion, you would have glute muscles stiffness. Leading to pain in your lower back. It could also be due to some disc issue as well. Do not worry, both the issues are completely treatable. I would recommend you to do the following:

1. Do a lot of icing in your gluteus and lower back.

2. A lot of stretching of gluteus, hamstring, and hip joint.

3. Do look for hip mobility exercises.

4. Roll a tennis ball under your butt in sitting with comfortable pressure.

5. Do cobra stretch frequently at least 20 X 3 once in an hour.

Do revert back to me after two days and let me know how is your issue.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
