Abdominoplasty, alias tummy tuck surgery, is a type of esthetic surgery done to shape the abdomen. In this surgery, excess abdominal fat is removed, and the muscles are tightened. They are of two types, complete abdominoplasty, and partial abdominoplasty. It is contraindicated during pregnancy or planning for pregnancy. The surgery does not help in the reduction of weight.
