his is an asymptomatic, benign condition in which additional skin tissues can be found in the spleen. This can be found in around 30 percent of the population. Such structures can be found in areas like the splenic hilum, pancreas, the wall of the stomach, and the gastrosplenic ligaments. Surgical removal of such structs is required only when torsion of the accessory spleen occurs.
