Labyrinth is the inner ear, and so labyrinthitis is the inflammation of the inner ear. There are two nerves in the inner ear which send information to the brain. When one of these nerves gets inflamed, then it results in labyrinthitis. Some of the symptoms of labyrinthitis are dizziness, tinnitus, loss of hearing, and nausea. This inner ear disorder can occur at any age.
