Medical Conditions - Age Related Macular Degeneration

Age-related macular degeneration refers to the eye disease that affects the central vision as a result of degeneration of the retina. The symptoms of age-related macular degeneration include blurry vision, difficulty in color perception, and less clear vision. This condition can be mostly seen in older people of age over 60. High blood pressure, smoking, obesity, and high cholesterol are risk factors for age-related macular degeneration. It does not cause complete blindness but occurs with significant loss of vision.
