It is a precancerous condition, commonly caused by Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). It is shown as abnormal cell development in the anal canal lining. It can be symptomless or present with itching, bleeding, and discomfort. Diagnostic techniques such as anoscope and pap smears are used to screen this condition. Treatment includes monitoring and if necessary, surgical excision.
