Medical Conditions - Apical Periodontitis

It is an inflammation of periradicular tissues that surround the tooth. It mainly occurs due to infection of the dental pulp, and other factors like iatrogenic trauma due to endodontic treatment. It can be treated by apicoectomy, a procedure in which the tip of the root is removed.
