Medical Conditions - Apraxia

Apraxia is a neurological disorder.  It is distinguished by the inability to perform or complete skillful motions and gestures, although having the desire and physical ability to do so. Dyspraxia refers to milder types of apraxia. Apraxia can manifest in a variety of ways. One type is orofacial apraxia . For example, individuals with orofacial apraxia cannot freely perform specific facial muscle movements. For example, they may be unable to lick their lips or wink. Another type of apraxia impairs a person's ability to move their arms and legs on purpose.
