Changes in the atmospheric pressure while climbing up, flying, or going deep into the water affects various parts of the body. When sinuses get affected, it is known as barosinusitis or aerosinusitis. This is due to the uncompensated pressure within the sinuses to the altered atmospheric pressure. Frontal sinuses are more commonly affected, followed by maxillary sinuses. Symptoms include facial pain or pressure, congestion, headache, upper teeth pain, excessive tears, epistaxis, fever, etc.
