Babies with benign macrocephaly have comparatively larger head sizes than normal. This defect is either inherited by birth or can be developed with time. This condition can be diagnosed with imaging tests, such as ultrasound or x-ray. Benign microcephaly is usually a very harmless condition and it does not require any treatment.
