Borderline hypothyroidism is a condition in which the TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) is seen as slightly elevated than the normal level when seen in a blood test while the level of T3 and T4 remains normal. Subclinical hypothyroidism is a term used for borderline hypothyroidism. In some cases wait and watch strategy is applied for the treatment, while in some Levothyroxine, is recommended as per the need.
