Medical Conditions - Bronchiectasis

Bronchiectasis is a condition arising from persisting inflammation inside the lungs. The airways that take the air into the lungs are called bronchi. With repeated inflammation and scarring, the inner walls of the bronchi suffer damage and they lose the ability to push the mucus out. The mucus stays coated inside the airways and makes breathing difficult.
