Bruch's membrane is a thin innermost layer of the choroid, a vascular layer of the eye between the sclera and the retina. It is also called membrane vitriae or the vitreous lamina. It has a thickness of around 2 to 4 μm and plays a significant role in providing functional and structural support to the retinal pigment epithelium.
