Cataract surgery is an eye procedure performed to remove the eye's natural lens, and an artificial lens is replaced. There are three types of lenses used in cataract surgery. These include a mono focal lens (a standard type of lens used in the cataract removal), a toric lens (the lens used to correct refractive errors), and a multifocal or accommodating lens.
