Cerebral palsy is a group of disorders resulting from cerebral injury to the immature brain, impairing movement, posture, and tone. Genetic mutations, fetal stroke, maternal infections, intracranial bleeding, head trauma, lack of oxygen supply, and brain infections result in cerebral palsy. The complications associated with cerebral palsy include shortening of muscle tissues, malnutrition, osteoarthritis, osteopenia, malnutrition, premature aging, and cardiac and hepatic disorders.
