Abnormal enlargement of cervical lymph nodes of the neck is known as cervical lymphadenopathy. Throat infections, dental infections, and cancers of the head and neck are common causes. Tenderness or pain around the affected lymph nodes, sore throat, and fever are common symptoms. Treatment depends on the underlying conditions.
