Medical Conditions - Chemical Pneumonitis

Chemical pneumonitis is a type of lung inflammation. It occurs when somebody accidentally breathes in potent chemical fumes or chokes on a chemical substance. It may be a noxious chemical from one's workplace like lab supplies, pesticides, fertilizer aerosols, or smoke and other gases. Even if it enters the lung accidentally or one is exposed to the fumes over a long period, the lungs get inflamed causing breathing difficulties and symptoms like a cough.
