Continuous glucose monitoring sensors are placed inside the layer of the skin of the belly or arm and stuck in place. It detects glucose levels from the interstitial fluid continuously and sends the findings to a monitor device. Both the monitor device and the sensor comprise the continuous glucose monitoring system. These can send alert notifications whenever the glucose levels fall too below or above normal values.
