Medical Conditions - Dacryoadenitis

Dacryoadenitis refers to unilateral or bilateral inflammation of the lacrimal gland. The major cause of dacryoadenitis is a viral infection, but it might also occur due to bacterial infections and rarely due to fungal infections. Redness of the eye, drooping eyelids, pain during eye movements, and double vision are common symptoms. Treatment depends on the type of infection that caused the condition.
